Nice review, I haven't really spent much time smoking Ashton Cigars. I tend to always overlook them for something else. Might be time I try a few more Ashtons. :)

I had a chance to smoke one of these Ashton Cabinets last night. As you may or may not know, I help out at the TopHat smoke shop, and we were supposed to have a poker night last night. Unfortunately we didn't get to play, but I still was able to try one of these Cabinets. My first thoughts after lighting up and smoking for a few minutes was the smoothness of the smoke. It was a mild smoke with a finishing hint of something sweet. I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

Alas, I was interrupted by a customer before I could collect my thoughts on it. He was a good customer though. A young guy picking up a bunch of cigars for his wedding weekend. We spent about 20 minutes together having a few laughs and sharing cigar recommendations in the walk-in humidor.

Back to the Cabinet. It had gone out when I sat back down, so I knocked the ash off and re-lit. There wasn't any burnt taste after the re-light, but I rarely had a chance to enjoy it. We had a couple more customers come in and then I had to make a long call about the house I'm trying to buy.

An evening of interruptions doesn't do well for reviewing a new cigar. I'll have to lock myself up in a corner the next time I try. But I know this about the Ashton Cabinet, it's definitely worth a second shot!
