This cigar is a collaboration between brand owners Robert and Sharon Holt, along with industry legend Abdel “AJ” Fernandez. The cigar got its name Manzanita which translates to “little apple” when AJ Fernandez, Robert Holt and Sharon Holt caught a glimpse of this cigar’s stunning, oily, dark red Habano hybrid wrapper. Underneath this oily clay red leaf, is a tasty Habano binder and a long filler blend composed of Pelo de Oro, Corojo 99, and bold ligero tobacco from Nicaragua. Produced at the prestigious AJ Fernandez factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, this top-notch (6 x 52) Toro is medium-to-full bodied and complex, offering luscious notes of leather, earth, pepper, and sweet spice, followed by hints of citrus zest on the backend. A long creamy finish adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.
